I gotta disagree with Nova. I think Pineda, Trumbo, and Hellickson could all wind up above him.

Definitely Kimbrel or Venters for NL with Freeman getting votes as well. I'd have to put Worley in the discussions too even though he hasn't been up all year.

Probably Trumbo or Hellickson for AL.

          AL: Jeremy Hellickson
NL: Freddie Freeman (Picked him over Kimbrel because he's an every day contributer)

Venters was a rookie last year.

It's a toss up between Freddie and Kimbrel I think. For me I kind of lean towards Kimbrel. I've heard the "Freeman plays everyday" argument a lot, and I think there is some validity. I give it to Kimbrel though because of his performance relative to his position. Freeman has had a very good year, even by 1st basement standards.
Kimbrel though has been arguably the best closer in baseball this year. So that's why I would give a slight edge to Kimbrel.

I thought the same thing about Freeman for a second, but then I remembered the 2005 rookie of the year where Huston Street won over Cano and other position players.

A lot of them were rookies last year. They can still have rookie eligibility if they haven't had a certain amount of ABs/innings pitched. I don't think Venters is eligible though.

Yeah I know what I meant was that Venters was eligible last year. Guys like Kimbrel were only called up in September. Venters was in like the top 3 relievers in IP last year.

Alright then. Since Venters isn't a rookie anymore, then for the NL I'm going Kimbrel, Freeman, or Barney as a dark horse if he gets hot.

I'd like to see Freeman get it over Kimbrel, but I highly doubt that happens.

Not to take away from Kimbrel, but the way Freeman seemed to carry the Braves offense over the summer stands out to me. That guy can hit.

But the Braves. Heyward, Freeman, Venters, Kimbrel, Jurrjens, Hanson. They got some great young players.
