Yeah the Braves were a 2 man show on offense for a while with Freeman and Uggla while Chipper, Mac, and Prado being hurt.

Kimbrel has been just as impressive though. Whereas Freeman helps boost the offense, Kimbrel shortens the game for the Braves. Aside from a couple of hiccups early on Kimbrel has been lights out in the 9th. Kimbrel set the record for rookie saves before the AS break and is 1 away from tieing the season long record for a rookie and we haven't even hit September yet. Not only is what he doing impressive by rookie standards, but he has been tops at his position this year. He is the league leader in saves, ERA, WHIP, and strike outs among MLB closers.

        AL: Mark Trumbo

        NL: Craig Kimbrel

The Angels would have no offensive threats in their lineup at all without Trumbo this season. He could finsh with around 30 HR's and 90 RBI's before the season is overs.

Kimbrel will break Neftali Feliz' rookie saves record (40, set last season) and already has better numbers than Feliz, Street, and Andrew Bailey when they won it.

AL: Mark Trumbo. Hellickson's been good, but Trumbo is providing a lot of the offense for the Angels.

NL: Freddie Freeman. Kimbrel's been great, but I value Freeman's everyday production over the dominance in the final inning.

NL - Freedie Freeman (No doubt)
AL - Can be Mark Trumbo but Nova has been pitching great for the Yankees and his wins contributed to us leading Boston by those 2.5 games (so far)
Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather.

                Trumbo and Freeman right now...

Nova's been good for New York...but his 3.89 ERA and 1.34 WHIP don't jump off the page.

With a great finish, Trumbo might go 30/100 (on pace for 91 RBI) with a solid batting average. If he can improve his on base percentage, he will be one of the leagues best hitters.

Trumbo is the Mike Stanton of the AL

You got it right buddy. I don't remember the last time i've seen 1 team with 3 top candidates for ROY. (Freeman and Beachy)

No talk of Hosmer in the AL?
I just don't like Trumbo's overall stat line, and Hosmer compares very well to Trumbo given less at bats and plate appearances.

Hosmer or Trumbo in the AL. I'm leaning towards Hosmer.

I'd take Hosmer over Trumbo, and would be tempted to take Ackley over both of them.

Trumbo's OBP is brutal, less than .300!

If he had come up when it was planned Brett Lawrie would just about be a slam dunk pick.
