Re: Now, who to root for

Anybody but the Marlins(bitter Phillies fan) and the Yankees!
    ---------------
Harry Dunne: What's her last name?

Lloyd Christmas: You know, I don't really recall. Uh, it starts with "S". Let's see. Swammi? Slippy? Slappy? Swenson? Swanson?

Harry Dunne: Maybe it's on the briefcase.

    Lloyd Christmas: Oh, yeah!
[He reads the manufacturer's name, which is Samsonite]

Lloyd Christmas: Here it is! "Samsonite"! I was way off! I knew it started with an "S" though.

Since my O's are out ( ), I've gotta go with the WS that would probably draw the biggest national audience... Cubs/Sox. That would be a great WS.

I'm pretty sure that after a Cubs/Red Sox World Series, the apocalypse will come upon us... I've gotten away from watching baseball in the regular season, but I'll watch it pretty faithfully in the post-season. I'm tired of the Yankees, so I'd like a Cubs-Red Sox series.

Re: Now, who to root for

At first I was pulling for a Braves win over Chicago, that didn't happen... then I pulled for Twins over NYY, no dice.. then I was either/or with the A's/Sox series... hoping to see Boston since they'd have a better chance of ending NYY's season than the A's would've. So I guess I got my way in that series. And obviously i'm going with Bosox over the Yanks...

NL...after Atlanta let me down, I had rooted for the Marlins, just like the A's/BSox series, I was either/or about it, but I always like to see good stories, so Marlins advancing got me that. Now i'm rooting for the Fish to knock out Chicago. i'm a Pirate's fan and I gotta be honest... when i'm posting and reading on the Pirates forum, I grew VERY tired off all the jerkoff fans of the Cubbies, trolling over with, "You guys are pathetic, thanks for giving us the division.. Maybe you guys will win sometime in the next 2-3 lifetimes." Really made me VERY bitter towards the Cubbies. And funny enough, I'd have probably rooted for the Cubs had the fans not been total a-holes to the Pirate fans, and we didn't have to keep hearing about how our GM/owner "gave away any contention we could've had... lol, sorry, got sidetracked... in short, i'm rooting for anyone other than the yanks and cubs.
