First thing is first - MAJOR renovation in the bullpen. I say we keep Kent Mercker and Will Cunnane to go along with Smoltzie, and dump everyone else. I am so sick of Ray King and Roberto Hernandez.

Second, we need to get another quality starter in return for Maddux. He commands WAY too much money, and I can't see us re-signing him for just 1 more season (he got $16 million for this season alone.) Even though I only want to see Greg in an Atlanta uni, I don't think it will be possible after this season.

Third, we need to find a way to dump Paul Byrd. What a terrible FA signing. I know he didn't even play this season, but still...

Anyway, those are my .02 cents on how Atlanta should go about it's offseason. Bullpen should be #1 priority.

How about starting with the managerial job and firing Bobby Cox? It's not as absurd as it may sound. 12 consecutive NL EAST divisional titles, and 12 straight years in playoffs, and only one WS win to show for it.
