Theory on why Giants and Braves got elminated early.
I think one of the reasons they got eliminated so early is because they played such good regular seasons. It seems almost everyear the teams that are clicking and having good finishes to the season end up going to the World Series. But everyear the Braves dominate the East and the Giants do good in the west. Just look at the Cubs and Marlins this year. They both had strong finishes. And then look at the Angels last year. Who had a great finish. So I think that the teams that are clicking at the end of the season will have the most sucess in the Post Season.Tags: None -

You could be right. The Braves always seem to wrap up their division early, and then coast to the end of the season to rest their starters. We see what always happens. It would nice if they were pushed to the end. Maybe they need to be the wild card team next year.Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095

Re: Theory on why Giants and Braves got elminated early.
There have been instances where teams have dominated in the regular season and they've won the WS. (two examples come to mind, '84 Tigers and '98 Yankees) The problem with the Braves is that they're TOO mellow and just don't seem to have the fire in their bellies. I think it has a lot to do with Bobby Cox. I mean when a guy's been managing the same team more or less for 13 years he tends to get set in his ways and becomes complacent. It's time for some fresh blood in the manager's office.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
