I'll admit that I like the Red Sox and am not a Yankee fan at all, but we really have to cut Pedro some slack with the Zimmer thing. He had a second or two to come to a decision, because if he's anything like me he probably didn't expect Zimmer to rush him and take a swing like that. Pedro probably just expected to trade some words with Zimmer, but Zimmer went psycho and Pedro had to defend himself so he could still pitch in the game. I don't care if Zimmer was 80, 90 or whatever, a punch is a punch, especially when you have to pitch the next inning, rather than just sit on the bench.

It was Zimmer who was charging Pedro. Pedro deserves some latitude in the method he chose to deal with Zimmer.
Regarding, throwing at Bonds. Bonds is the best player in the game today and one of the best hitters of alltime. If Clemens would have missed inside it could have meant the end to Bonds' career. On the other hand there is Karim Garcia,... who the hell is Karim Garcia? Understand Im saying this as a fan but if Im Garcia and I felt like I was being thrown at I would be angry as well. In fact, I might have taken the bat out there with me and gone upside Pedros head with it. I think most people dont realize how fast/hard 95 mph is. On the same token though, Clemens is by far the most deserving of taking a bat upside the head or knee.

Like Manny Ramirez did? And please, Pedro is as much of a notorius headhunter as is Roger. The guy has around 100 HBP compared to Roger's 150, in half the innigs pitched! Now not only is he a threat to batters, he's also a threat to seniors. And the problem with your Bonds comparison is that Roger meant to hit Barry on his armor, in which he did. He did not miss. No point being hypothetical and saying if he missed, when he didn't.
Zimmer was wrong for going after Pedro. I guess you say he got what he deserved. I disagree. Upon looking at pictures, when Pedro took him by his ears/head, Zim's palm was open, which shows he wasn't up there to punch Pedro. That certainly wasn't a fist.
Zimmer acknoledges what he did was wrong, so he took the stands next day and apologized. Obviously that takes some balls. Pedro and Manny on the other hand dodged the interviews and failed to speak out. Much like Varitek sayed on the behalf of Zim, "Any man that admits when they're wrong is a man."
P.S. Zimmer is an old overweight man running at his full speed, and with bad knees. If Pedro moves away, the guy's momentum would take him down. But I suggested that Pedro should have held him and restrained him. Where is Gerald Williams, when the Yanks need him? He left too soon." I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "

You've gotta be kidding me. So since Pedro defended himself from a punch and pushed Zimmer, he is now a threat to seniors? Now I respect your opinion AI, but that seems very over the top. Don't forget that Pedro had to go back out and pitch the next inning and maybe after that, and if he took a punch, I doubt he would be able to, no matter how old Zimmer may be. I for one am glad he defended himself. I am not glad he pushed him, and Zimmer wound up getting hurt, but what, did you want Pedro to stand there and let himself take a shot from Zimmer? Face it, he had to defend himself in one way or another. If Zimmer HADN'T thrown a punch, then I would lose all respect for Pedro. But since Zimmer obviously was coming right after him with a left hook, Pedro had to do something, not just stand still.
If you wanna consider him a danger to seniors, then you might as well consider Clemens a terrorist to batters.Comment

Luckily, it is very unlikely anything will happen tonight with a knuckleball pitcher, and Mike Mussina pitching. Fair enough. Just glad he didn't get hurt.
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "
