    NY Jets:

what he was trying to do was get hung up between first
and second and create time for the runner at third
to score... but the yankees played it brilliantly..
and did it by the book....

i learend that "hang up" play in the minor leagues
    when we went to tournaments...

Is anyone else getting the feeling that this is going 7? One thing that makes me think Boston is in for a good day tomorrow is the fact that Lowe is consistently good at home and also David Wells has a 1 something ERA from his one outing against Minnesota. I dont think hes really that good and the law of averages will catch up with him. I think after tomorrow his ERA will be in the 3 range. Plus after Lowes last outing I think he will bounce back. Im kind of curious to see what Boston will do if it goes to game 7. Would you pitch Pedro or Wakefield? Assuming it goes that far it will be interesting.

There is no doubt it is going 7, I figured it would from the begining.

Joe Torre needs to do something. The Yankees dont play small ball anymore, they never bunt or even advance runners with a sac fly. There fundamentals are horrible. I'm sick of hearing about GIambi's knee. He is just not hitting well. Soriano is not a leadoff hitter and should be moved. Sierra should get the DH start but Torre is too much of a puss to interfere with the Boss. Boone will be benched tonight as he is an automatic out in this series. I think todays lineup for the Yanks should look like this:
                        1. Jeter - ss
                        2. Johnson - 1b
                        3. Williams - cf
                        4. Soriano - 2b
                        5. Posada - c
                        6. Giambi - dh (i'd rather sierra but it wont happen)
                        7. Matsui - lf
                        8. Garcia - rf
                        9. Wilson - 3b

As for next year, we need a permanent RFer. I heard Stienbrenner wants Sheffield but I would rather: Soriano in RF, Matsui in CF, and Bernie in LF. I would like that Japanese SS but I heard they would move Boone to second and get a 3Bman. I also heard Stienbrenner is interested in Ortiz but I'm not sure about that. If you have any ideas let me know because THE BOSS is gonna go nuts if the Yanks lose this series.

This is one reason I think the Cubs are better equipped to beat NY than Boston. The Cubs strength is pitching so NY stadium will accentuate that. If the Cubs DH Moises and put Goodwin in leftfield that might mean the Cubs would be better able to maximize Yankee stadium than the Yankees. Im assuming Goodwin could pla LF though. I know playing LF and CF are different and so Im not sure how competent Goodwin is in left but still...
