Found something really weird on my driveway this morning?

I walk out of my house this morning on a nice sunny day and I see what looks like 2 pieces of paper face down on the driveway both wrapped in laminate.

So I pick it up and they are 2 black and white 8 x 10 photographs of the team pictures of the NY Yankees taken on the field at Yankee stadium. One is captioned with the 1951 World Champion Yankees and list the names of all the player underneath and the lettering style looks to be from the 50's. Mantle, Dimaggio and Berra(it actually says Larry Berra which I assume is his 1st name) are all there. And they did win the World Series in 1951.

The other one is even older. It has no printing on the picture but looks like it's the late 1930's Yankees because I recognize a young Dimaggio and Lou Gehrig but Babe Ruth isn't there so it must have between Ruth's and Gehrig's retirement.

They look like genuine photographs and not copies and are in pretty good shape, no folds or creases, and look old enough for the time period. I have no idea whether these are actually worth anything. Is there a website that estimates the value of sports memorabilia because I have no idea where I could go to get these appraised otherwise.

Anyone know whether I have a windfall on my hands or are they probably worth next to nothing?

Even if they're not worth much they'd be nice to keep and maintain. Personally I think it should be worth some good money.

I found one site that is selling the exact 1951 picture I have for over $300. Not bad but even better is I can't find the other photo yet but I found a similar one from 1936 that's worth over $700. So hopefully mine is even rarer and might be worth more but even a $1000.00 profit is pretty good for just happening to take out the garbage this morning if I decide to sell them.

SPTO, you live in Toronto too, don't you? You know any places downtown that buy this kind of stuff, maybe somewhere on Queen Street. They have lots of comicbook stores there so they must have some sports collectibles places. May have to take a trip downtown next weekend to check it out.

I don't know of any places offhand but here's a listing of collectibles places in Toronto

          Thanx.

After further investigation it looks like the other photo is from 1936 when they won the world series but the photograph I have differs slightly from the official world series photo even though all the same players are in the photo. Lou Gehrig is smiling broadly in mine while he really isn't in the other one so it may have been taken just before or after the official photo. As well one of the trainers is missing so maybe he went to go take a piss or something. I don't know if that means squat but maybe the rareness of it being a slightly different picture will add an extra zero at the end.
