What does it matter if Florida has less fans than Chicago? Fans don't play the game, players do. And the Marlins' players deserve to go to the WS. No sour grapes please.

Call me evil , but I love when the Bad guys win. By bad guys I mean the team that the Network is not slanting towards. When the Devils won last year ABC tried to make it seem as if somehow the Ducks were champs. So I have enjoyed this series. But honestly, I fell in love with the Marlins round the middle of the year. You have to love a team that plays the way they do. Speed at the top of the order. Veteran leadership and lots of young raw talent and LENNY HARRIS on top of all that. I was lucky enough to get down to Pro Player and catch some baseball in June. The Fish may be the bad guys tonight, but this team deserves everything they've done. I can only hope they have to come to my town to beat the evil empire in their own park to win the world series.

I'm truly at a loss for words.

Up three to one in the series, and we have Zambrano, Prior, and Wood going. Ya gotta like the chances of the Cubs winning at least one of those games, right??

Nope. Because this is the Cubs. An organization that has made a tradition out of losing. It is disheartening to be a Cubs fan. I'm so sick of losing. You'd figure after all these years of futility, I'd be used to it. But I'm not. I want to see this team succeed. I want to know the jubliation that a fan of a World Series Championship team feels.

Anyway ... I'll stick by statements I made earlier, in that I'm proud of how far the Cubs got this year. I truly didn't expect them to make it into the playoffs, let alone have a shot at seeing a World Series. And, this is great playoff/big game experience for the Cub pitching staff. But to be honest, I'd rather have seen the Cubs get swept than have to go through this ... again. This complete implosion just leaves an that empty feeling in the bottom of my stomach.

I truly think we'll see the Cubs back in the playoffs very soon. But, heck, I thought we'd win one of the last three games too ... so that goes to show what I know ...

Kudos to the Marlins. They earned it. Too bad, I don't care for the team, or really any of the teams left in the playoffs.

Good Luck to all the fans of the Red Sox, Yankees, & Marlins.

And to all the people who are simply fans of baseball ... enjoy the rest of the season. Normally, I'd be right there with ya, but I think I'm gonna take my Cubs' collapse, and call it a season.

I'm still bitter about my Indians losing the World Series to a cheap quick fix franchise in 1997. I can't imagine how bad it is for the Cubs with this. If anything I want to see a salary cap more than ever. You had fresh teams in the NLCS but the same old powers in the ALCS. You know when it's time for the new Marlins owner to pay the players, the same thing will happen that happened last time. A lack of a salary cap is why the Marlins have a good team then suck completely, it's why the Cubs have taken so long to get a taste of getting to the World Series, and why the Yankees are always the favorites. I think this has a lot to do with why football has overtaken baseball as America's top sport.

The Marlins earned this pennant. I mean, never in my life have I seen so many clutch hits by one team over a 7-game series. And to make things worse, it always seemed like the biggest hits came with 2 strikes on the Marlins....the Cubs pitchers didn't lose this series. They made some mistakes, but the Marlins just hit the crap out of the ball. My hats off to them....but for any fan who's dogging my Cubs and/or trying to rub it in, you can go to Hell, b/c quite frankly, to root against the Cubs is pretty low IMO.
