I sure hope so. It was tough to watch CJ in the postseason.

It's also tough to see that much money thrown around on a guy who has never thrown a pitch in the majors.

CJ may not even pitch in the post season if the Angels happen to make it. He's basically the 4th or 5th starter in that rotation.

The Braves are now saying it was Jurrjens or Prado, not both that was offered for Jones.

The Braves have apparently shopped Jurrjens around to everyone but the asking price must be way to high. It was believed that they thought they may have had a deal with the Reds for Jurrjens but the Reds traded for Mat Latos instead. The deal also would have meant Prado being dealt to the Rockies, which could still happen as the Rockies are still looking for a Second Baseman.

Something about Jones i don't like. He is great defensively but you watch him at the plate expecting big things and he never really seems to deliver.

So basically they threw all that money just to keep him away from Texas?

Silly expenditure of money if you ask me.

They've still got him for the 30+ regular season starts. If you've got the money, may as well spend it. Too much pitching is a good problem to have.

But they Angels spent $75 million on a position in which they have tons of depth. Their offense is still a weakness, but they have made some great strides toward making the AL West interesting this year (shooting Mathis into the sun and getting Pujols).

I'm LOVING what Doug has done this winter for Brewer fans...

                    Ramirez
                    Gonzalez
                    Veras
                    KRod
                    Izturis
Aoki (From his comments, sounds like deal will get done)

Adding those guys to a very talented team!! WOW, can't wait for the season to start.

Now please, please don't punish Brauny for his medical condition... Having him for opening day 2012 is what we need... If we do have him, look out NL Central... Brewers are gonna REPEAT in the Central!!

They filled a need. They added a quality starter in the 4 spot.

A rotation of Weaver, Haren, Santana and Wilson are about as good as anyone has. Not sure if they will re-sign Pineiro for the #5 spot.

                      That's a pretty nice rotation.

Pitching will always be the focus of this franchise. It plays to their style of play.

Not sure how the offense is a weakness. If Morales comes back it will be that much deeper. Although that seems unlikely.

They added Pujols to the lineup. Not sure who they could have added who would really make an impact.

Like the trade very much. It really depends on how good of a deal it was depending on the prospects IMO.

I do too. Good to get value out of him while we could and I think is contract is expiring was probably going to want to get overpaid. Good move. We need starting pitching and Wood has shown flashes of brilliance, and he's young.

Still hearing rumors that Garza is going to get traded. I hope not.

Apparently the Indians are serious contenders to sign Carlos Beltran.

Please. Make this happen. It makes sense for both sides.
