First of all, the agent doesn't see the posting money. Second, if he doesn't sign, then it's no problem because the Rangers get that money back. Third, that money doesn't count against the team's payroll.

The Blue Jays have acquired Jason Frasor from the White Sox in exchange for right-handed pitchers Myles Jaye and Daniel Webb. I kinda saw that coming; he spent his whole career in Toronto. On top of that, Toronto signed Darren Oliver.

The Padres have acquired Carlos Quentin from the White Sox for pitching prospects Simon Castro and Pedro Hernandez. I know the ChiSox want to shed salary, but I think they could have gotten more for him. The fact that it's the Padres acquiring him is odd, as Quentin was never known as a good fielder.

Not to fan the flames, but what difference does it make if it's on the payroll or not in a sport that doesn't have a salary cap?

Note: it's highly possible that I'm missing something.

            Revenue sharing.

I'm pretty sure they are changing the system now...not sure of the details.

It was a joke, but all together you're gonna end up paying this guy 130 million. He better be good.

The Indians signed INF Jose Lopez and OF Felix Pie to minor league deals a while back. Oh and they traded for OF Aaron Cunningham. Watch out everyone, we're blazing a path to the Fall Classic.

Moving him to 3rd? Marlins could be interesting this year.

Could be, from a pure talent standpoint I thought they had a chance to sneak in as a WC team last year with their opening day roster and they only improved this year with the Growth of LoMo,Stanton, Jose Reyes/Heath Bell additions, JJ just needs to stay healthy and Hanley stay consistent on a mental level lol.

Like it was his choice to begin with. These players...
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Don't worry, I bet the O's have a ton of prospects that could replace Jones in the lineup, right?

Any AL East team that picks up Jurrjens will regret it. He'll get KILLED against the East.
