Little surprised at Upton over Stanton but he's just as deserving so it's fine by me

There was a whole mess of guys that would have been good selections for that spot.

I thought Hardy might win it...kinda surprised he didn't actually.

I'm guessing Napoli didn't win because he was also splitting time at DH/1B

Napoli caught 67 games this year, which is less than half of the season, thus I don't know if he qualifies for the award at catcher. Alex Avila was rode like a rented mule and caught 133 games as a comparison.

Also, Cabrera got robbed. Other than that I'm not too disappointed; better than the golden glove awards.

Yea I was gonna say, the only stat that Gonzalez led Cabrera was the least important, RBI's. Cabrera hit for a higher average, more homers, higher OBP, Higher Slugging, Higher OPS. And Gonzalez wasn't even close to him except in batting average.

And nobody has mentioned it, but Jhonny Peralta beat Asdrubal Cabrera in every single offensive category that exists except homeruns. Cabrera had 25 to Peralta's 21. But everything else, BA, OB, OPS, Slugging, OPS+, Peralta had better numbers.

Asdrubal Cabrera had 1 good half and that's it. He hit .244 in the second half, posted a .280 OBP and a .729 OPS. Yikes.

JJ Hardy also deserved some recognition...his numbers aren't to impressive across the board but 30 homers and a .800 OPS from a shortstop deserves some credit.

Both Hardy and Peralta put together a full season of consistent production...Cabrera was a questionable choice.
I'm not too worked up because these are pointless awards but I just feel like these guys deserved it more because they were straight up better hitters than the guys who won, and by a decent margin.
