And it's a shame that Larkin only won three. He had to put up with the writers just giving Ozzie his last 2-3 GG on his name alone and then injuries knocked him out of a couple more.

Yeah Larkin should have won atleast 6 or 7 GG's.
Just think how many he would have won it there was no Ozzie Smith.
And to the person that says it doesnt matter what position you play is just flat crazy and wrong!
Larkin was so much more important to his team than Bernie was.
Take Larkin off those Reds teams and they are terrible, take Bernie off the Yanks and they are still the Yanks.

          IMO
          Absolutely deserving.
Shame about Bags......I think he's being lumped in with the steroid era players.
          .....and I guess missing on "the big three"....no 3000 hits....no 500 HR's....not hitting .300 lifetime.(I don't agree....but it's there)

          But congrats to Barry Larkin.....!!

              Congratulations to Barry Larkin!

I was just getting into baseball and the Cincinnati Reds at the very end of his career, but even then, he was a favorite of mine.

              Congratulations, again!

And here's something else to think about....

Since Larkin has left, it's been a revolving door at shortstop for the Reds. So much so that when the blog www.redreporter.com did a statistical analysis in putting together the All-Decade Team for the 2000s...Barry Larkin was the best SS of the decade.

All-time lowest WAR for his time with the Reds.

                    That counts for something.

His time with the Twins was equally memorable.
