I know that Little's decision to keep Pedro in the game was bad but he shouldn't lose his job over one ONE mistake. It's sad that he isn't supported by management after putting up 2 90+ win seasons. I have a funny feeling this might end up biting Boston in the butt.

As for their replacement candidates, I hope they don't hire Manuel or that tv analyst. I don't think Manuel would fit in well with the BoSox and we've all seen how mixed the success can be with TV guys.

Out of all the candidates I think they should hire either Randolph (a guy who I think would make a great manager) or Mazilli. They both come from the mentality of "anything less then a World Series trophy is failure". They also have been blessed to coach under the watchful eye of Joe Torre who I think is THE best people person managing today.

I'm surprised that they would go after a Yankees Unfortunately, one mistake DOES make or break a career in Boston, ESPECIALLY if that mistake cost the team at a chance at the WS against the Yankees. Oh well, bye bye Little.

I think Grady was a good guy, and I liked him a lot. But he wasn't a very good baseball manager. The Red Sox this year should have been much better, and should have been in the World Series undoubtedly. My dream was to see Joe Torre in a Sox uniform, but I really doubt Georgie will let that happen.

If you followed the Sox this year you would know they should have been much better than they were. It was a great year no doubt, but many mistakes aggrivated Sox fans like myself throughout the entire season. The Pedro thing was just the tip of the iceberg.

hes not really being fired just not being rehired since this was the last yr of his contract. they still shouldnt put all the blame on him cuz if he pulls pedro and they lose he gets the blame for pulling him. so he was damned if he did and damned if he didnt.

The problem with the "non-move" was that from what I've read, the majority of fans that was watching the game wanted Pedro to be pulled. Even if the Sox lost after Pedro being pulled, Little would've been blamed but I don't think he would've been run out of town.
