He had good stuff, man, his confidence got broken right there in the world series.

      Re: Rick Ankiel

He got hurt this year, right after he was starting to make some good progress, too bad they could have used him in the bullpen for the stretch run. He's a pretty good hitter, I think it might benefit him switching over to being a position player after what has happened over the past couple of years.

            Re: Rick Ankiel

From what I have heard. The options on Ankiel is running thin and if the pitcher part of him doesn't work out their going to try and convert him to a outfielder. I think he would make a good center fielder, he has pretty good speed and has the good bat. I'm still hoping he can comeback as a pitcher though. He's still pretty young and all he needs is to get his mental side of pitching back.

Thats true but the mental part is the hardest to get over anyways, so its not going to be easy for him... And I hope him the best because he looked like he was going to be great.... that is before the playoffs but like yall said he is still young and has time to be great once again.

He is in knoxville(the cardinals double a afilliate), while visiting my inlaws I took in a knoxville smokies game.
He has not changed at all, with a two run lead in the seventh, they brought him in from the pen and he walked the bases loaded and eventually hit the next batters for the go ahead run, that dude has got some problems.
It's too bad because he had so much promise!

That's sad to here, thought he might have sorted it out by now.
