Re: How Many Stadiums Have You Been To?

Stadiums I've been to for baseball...

    Current:
    Great American Ball Park
    PNC Park
    Busch Stadium
    Miller Park
    Wrigley Field
    Progressive Field/The Jake
    Comerica Park
    Kauffman Stadium (pre-renovations)
    Fenway Park (pre-renovations)

    Former:
    Dolphins Stadium/Pro Player Park
    Jack Murphy Stadium/Qualcomm
    Old Comiskey Park
    Cleveland Stadium
    Tiger Stadium
    Riverfront Stadium

I'm really, really tempted to do a Cali trip at the end of June/first week of July when the Reds play the Giants, Dodgers, and Padres over the course of 11 days. I think it would be a lot of fun.
    MLB: Cincinnati Reds
    NFL: Cincinnati Bengals
    NCAA Hoops: Xavier Musketeers
    NCAA Football: Miami Hurricanes
    NHL: Calgary Flames

Re: How Many Stadiums Have You Been To?

      I've been to:

-Angels Stadium (obviously, lol, been there about 20 times in my life)
      -Dodgers Stadium (one game)
-Storm Stadium (used to be my hometown stadium before I moved out to Anaheim)

Those are the only three I've seen a game in, I have passed by other stadiums on my trip to Bowling Green, Kentucky when me and my grandparents went there for a Cacklefest (your on your own on googling that).

      -Busch Stadium
      -Kauffman Stadium
-Franklin Covey Field (the Salt Lake Bees stadium)

I also passed through Denver on the way back, but I didn't get to see Coors Field
R.I.P. Rory Markas, Nick Adenhart and Tyler Skaggs

Five teams have put new stadiums in since I've been, but I continue to count them anyway. Been to all but: A's, Royals, White Sox, Braves, Rays, Marlins.

Thanks! I feel the same way about Great American in Cincy...I loved it, but I've talked to a number of people who didn't like it at all, especially the concessions (which isn't a problem for me since I like Skyline Chili ).

It's not a bad place to watch a game. The concessions aren't too bad, although some stuff is overpriced, especially the $9 draft beer. This isn't New York. I still like the other new stadiums in the NL Central that I've been to more than GABP though.

                          Only been to 3:

                          -Skydome/Rogers Centre
                          -AT and T Park
                          -Shea Stadium

AT was my favorite - nice park and great concessions. Loved it when I saw the Rockies and Giants last year

So it seems like there are only two teams left that are thinking about getting new stadiums, the A's and Rays. Last time I checked, both teams were going no where with talks about building them.

Who is going to get it first?
How long are these new stadiums supposed to last?

The Athletics have a much better chance considering their ownership has already put out San Jose Athletics logos on certain products. I would expect that even with the Giants trying to protect that territory, the A's will end up in San Jose in around five years.

Tampa Bay still has that contract with St. Petersburg and it looks like nothing will happen for at least another decade. I would not be surprised if ownership gets fed up and moves the team. Then again, there isn't anywhere to put them really. The Trop is going to be used for a long time if that's the case.

There has been a minor movement of people trying to get the Rangers to move to Dallas, but I really don't see that happening. It would be a better chance if the Cowboys were there, but Arlington has really built itself up as the sports capitol of North Texas. I'd say that with proper maintenance, places like the Ballpark could last for another thirty to forty years.
                              Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

I saw on the local news the other day how there was one idea of moving the team to Tampa in a new stadium with a bigger cruise port built in place of the Trop because St. Pete can't house larger cruiseships due to the height of a bridge nearby. The odds of that happening were slim tho they said.
