I have to admit...I laughed when I read the TMI part in a Vin Scully voice. Well maybe it was a little more like the Vin Scully impersonator announcer on The Simpsons voice.

He'll either be a late-bloomer or a flash-in-the-pan. For now he's one of the very few bright spots on the team offensively and it's a shame that he's basically limited to being a designated hitter. Oh well, the Padres will not win many games this year for reasons beyond poor defense.

And yeah, that catch was on Maybin, it looked like he misread where it was going and it got on him. As for Bartlett, it is only a matter of time before he's done with, but our options at short are not that good.

I was at the game and it was packed. There were a good amount of Dodger fans throughout the ballpark (and several stray Giants fans and Diamondbacks fans). I was surprised to see Kershaw leave but it is a good thing that he was pulled not because of injury.

The home plate umpire had somewhat of an inconsistent strike zone in the middle innings on both sides (at least from where I was sitting from).

I sat and froze my *** off in sub-40 degree weather in the box seats in section 155 from 2:30 until 6:30 only to watch Chris Perez blow that masterful performance by Masterson. After 9+ innings I couldn't take it anymore. Chris Perez calls himself the "Firestarter" and boy did he flame out today.

        Pestano for closer!

According to the Jays announcers, Perez wasn't even entirely healthy and had only pitched 3 innings all spring. They said that Pestano was penciled in to start the season as the closer according to the newspapers and such.

Don't blame Perez totally on this one, blame the bonehead manager Manny Acta.

BTW John Farrell explained what happened in the bottom of the 16th. Apparently there's a new rule that a pitcher can't be lifted unless he faces a batter. Luis Perez apparently didn't get the memo and ran out onto the field for the 16th which is why Farrell was yelling and screaming before Perez faced his one batter. So yeah, Santos was slotted to start the inning.

Get out of work at 1:00. Twins season starts at 2:05. Now that's what I call Good Friday.

Huh, interesting lol...so Perez is the moron then, not John Farrell.

For yesterday's slate of games, I'm proud to award the Manny Ramirez boneheaded play to Rajai Davis for his inability to do the only thing he is on the team to do; run out of the box to try for an infield hit. Rajai, you've won a spot on the bench!

Ian Kinsler just murders the White Sox, consistently.

The season starts today for me.... I'm not sure why, I'm feeling something strange about baseball this year.

Hey everybody, it's Bert Blyleven's birthday. It took him about 30 seconds into the broadcast to mention it.
