Papa Grande is so may-day, it's not even funny...he's like Mike Henneman (albeit more money)...takes a long time to deliver, walks guys, gives up hits, hits batters, stocks the bases...but usually, eventually, mercifully, he will get that 3rd out.

The Tiger's closer has been this way as long as I have been a fan (mid-90s). If we didn't have a roller coaster 9th inning, we wouldn't be a Detroit Tigers team.

Matt Moore was alright, he was a little wild and really seemed to stay away from Jackson and Cabrera (two walks a piece.) The weather was weird, you couldn't feel the snow, but it was 43 degrees and windy. He had good composure though. Looked confident.

Porcello looked great today. His velocity was better than it ever was last year and I hope he keeps it up. Nice inning from Coke and Valverde had a flawless inning. See what happens when you throw strikes, Jose? lol.

Tonight MLB.TV starts earning its keep for me - a Comcast Sports Net game that I couldn't watch otherwise.

Maholm vs. Narveson on a chilly night at Wrigley.

And Maholm with a not-so-good start. 5-0 Brewers after 1 out in the 1st.
