Lester works out of a 2 on, nobody out situation with no damage done. 0-0 entering the 6th inning. And holy hell...Prince is playing some defense! 2 really nice picks on bad throws from Peralta at short. And right on cue, Cabby gets his first opportunity and makes a catch in foul territory while tripping on himself and falling down haha.

Dempster and Strasburg are putting on a pitching clinic right now. Demp has thrown a lot more pitches, but has more strikeouts (a couple of the 3 pitch variety), while Strasburg has only thrown 26 pitches through 3.

3 hits between them, and a scoreless game in the 4th.

Sounds like the game I'm watching between the Tigers and Red Sox. Lester and Verlander aren't budging.

Right as I'm typing this Lester gives up back to back doubles and Detroit has a 1-0 lead in the 7th

And the Cubs just plated 1 with an RBI single by Byrd. Gotta love how things turn so quickly in this game.

Miguel Cabrera has 3 walks in today's game (one intentional) and is 0-1. Red Sox clearly would rather pitch to Prince than Miggy. Can't wait until he gets a hold of one and makes teams pay for pitching around Miguel.

It's probably worth pointing out that I did the MLB Today Season game for MLB2K12 this morning....and threw a 1-0 No-Hitter with Dempster. It was on Pro, and I was all ready to up the difficulty...and then this happens.

The real one is throwing 1 hit shutout ball, with the only blemish as a hit leading off the ballgame. Dempster also has 8 K's through 6.

Valverde blows the save. He had a 2-0 lead and he blew the save. Congrats on wasting an excellent Verlander performance Jose...you better hope we win this game. I mean come on! He gave up an RBI triple to Ryan Sweeney...Ryan Sweeney!

In hindsight, Verlander should have had better control over Leyland's mind and willed Valverde to pitch better. Then maybe he would have been good enough to get a win today.
