Probably because at 19 he's already in the big leagues and his tools are phenomenal. I guess because of the hype and all that people are expecting him to light up the world with a .500 batting average and 60 home runs already in 13 games and forget that even elite players have an adjustment period making it to the big leagues, separating those who can't from those who can regardless of tools and hype.

Because he lost a fly ball in an overcast sky? You're reaching big time.

Also he was promoted too early. He wasn't playing particularly well at AA or AAA before being brought up to the Nationals.

I watched some of the Angels/Rangers game and boy is it ever apparent that Pujols can't catch up to the heater anymore. He was consistently late on his swing and not connecting on the sweet spot at all.

That's pretty damn distressing if indeed his bat has slowed down that much.

Harper's ceiling is substantially higher than almost any young player in baseball. He can hit for power, average, he is fast, and a great fielder with an amazing arm. When he gets better it's going to be really scary.

People forget that 2 years ago, Chooch batted .302 with a .447 SLG % and Howard was .276 and a .505 SLG. Clearly Howard a better long ball hitter. Maybe move Chooch up to 5 for now to "protect" Pence.
