Jim Johnson and Fernando Rodney are quietly having great starts to the season.

It's a great sight to see and if Encarnacion gets hot again and Escobar continues to hit well then it should make things better for Bautista as well.

I'm more impressed at times by the poise of the pitchers on the back end of the Jays rotation. They're incredibly young but they don't let emotions run high or get frustrated when they're in a jam. This augers well for the future IMO.

Went to PETCO tonight...what a AAA ball club the Friars are running out there right now. Pathetic...good time though.

Seriously. Top three in the rotation lose all in a row, but Drabek and Hutchison totally step up.

This is what happens when you have a crappy ownership situation with a small market team where MLB doesn't give a damn.

Who had the more disappointing career? Mark Prior or Kerry Wood?

Anyway, big series starts tonight. Fans should be coming out with nice weather, fireworks after the game, Joe Carter bobblehead Saturday...Indians said to be expecting 30,000 a game this weekend.

                      So please, Tribe. Don't lose.

Definitely Prior. After Wood's promise, he was never the same but he basically reinvented himself and at least stayed in the Majors. Prior fell off the face of the Earth.

MLB.com reporting he wants to make one more appearance (and I'd be shocked if it didn't happen today, somehow). But yeah, basically retired.

Between their ridiculous TV deal which has lead to another year where I can't watch a single game of theirs on TV, to the horrid on field product, to the fact I just don't enjoy going to games at Petco, they again this year won't see another dime from me.

Although I am going this weekend for the Angels series those tickets were comped.

Wood comes in to pitch the 8th, faces one batter, strikes him out. Walks off the mound for the final time. What a scene
