Brandon Morrow smh. I remember watching his 17 strikeout game a couple years ago and thinking Please for the love of God get this guy out of our division lol. His stuff is so nasty. He reminds me of a healthy AJ Burnett, any given day, he can do something very special.

His control has been great. His k rate is still solid but now he's also pitching more to contact and thus going 7 innings consistently as opposed to those 5-6 innings starts last year where he'd strikeout 10 but leave in the 5th.

For anyone who is interested and has the capability (MLB.TV subscriber, Extra Innings subscriber, etc.) the entire Rays/Braves game today is using only Sabermetric stats and lines and advanced metrics as opposed to using the standard stats. This is only on the Rays feed, Sun Sports HD. Also, Sam Fuld is the guest color commentator today and will be giving an entire lesson on Sabermetrics throughout today's broadcast. Pretty cool!Comment

I don't think in any other sport an athlete like Chipper gets the amount of attention he has been getting at opposing ballparks, especially on his last game in the time. The Rays just put together a whole video tribute to himAnd may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Meh....
Looks like the Jays 4 game win streak is going to come to an end. I would've thought Henderson Alvarez would be the type of pitcher to have success against the Mets but apparently not.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Lance Berkman to the DL, Matt Adams called up from AAA.
Not sure if he'll play tonight but the Matt Adams era is about to get underway!
Going to temper my expectations for now since I'm sure he'll have an adjustment period but he has flat out raked in the minors, look forward to seeing how he does and hopefully he'll eventually become our new long term 1B.
Last year in AA he hit .300, 32, 101 in 115 games.
This year in AAA hes hitting .340, 9, 27 in 37 games.Favorite Teams:

Damn the Jays almost came back. What an atmosphere at the dome though with over 41K in the stands. Hopefully there'll be more crowds like that as the season progresses.
One little observation: I don't think i've seen a hitter ask the umpire if a pitch is a ball or a strike as much as Yunel Escobar does.
Well now it's off on the road for a killer tripMember of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
