Great to see Chapman get the save, by strikeout of course. Good to end the road trip 4-3 instead of 3-4.

Heck, I think Kip Wells is in line should someone in the rotation go down with an injury.Comment

Re: 5/14 - 5/20 Game Discussion Thread
Why? The closer role is crap. They pitch too many games where they aren't needed, and not enough games where they are.
The way most managers use their bullpens I would rather see the 2nd, or even 3rd best reliever be the "closer," that way the best relievers are free to get used when they're actually needed the most.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Impossible, the Padres have players going down left and right all over their system and are resorting to waiver claims and people who you thought had already retired to replenish an already bad team.

Re: 5/14 - 5/20 Game Discussion Thread
The funny thing about that is that it wasn't even the most dominating start of the series...which is a good sign for Tigers pitching, if a 2 run, 15 K game isn't the most dominating of the weekend by a member of the team.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

I like Yonder Alonso, all he did was drive in runs against the Rox. Keith Law also ranked the Padres system #1, so it can't be that bad. Also #1 on Fangraphs.Comment
