Congrats to Johan Santana on the No-No. At least it's a pitcher with a pedigree about him that gets it done for the first time in Mets history.

The Padres continue to prove why they are the worst-run organization ever.

They call up Yasmani Grandal to sit on the bench behind Hundley and Baker, mainly because they "need a bat" and he happened to be swinging a hot bat. And of course his playing time will be determined by a rookie's biggest enemy, Bud Black.

Would've been better to call up Matt Clark instead.

Yeah, they're working on one today.

Edit: Oh, you mean the team's pitcher throwing one. Getting no-hit is a weekly event for this team.

Edit #2: Their goes Wade Miley's no-hit bid.

Casey Crosby made his ML debut tonight for Detroit. Didn't really have high hopes, it's tough to draw the Yankees in your first start, plus he hasn't really dominated the minors or anything. Went about as expected, he got lit up pretty good, I think 6 ER in 3.1 but don't quote me on that. Oh well, wasn't expecting a W tonight but would've been nice. At least I get to watch the game on TV tomorrow night (which means it'll be rained out).

Oh the reminders of Ye Olde Bud Smith.

R.A. Dickey is going to be god like tomorrow night. Looks like we're going for a tie in this series.

                No-han!

I don't like those multi-walk no-hitters, though. It always kind of cheapens the achievement for me.

Chapman is a killer. Strikes out the side for the save.

You know, I should have seen this coming. I got my first birdie on the 6th hole today. Fair trade, I guess.

Why? You still get 27 (maybe minus a couple double plays) major league hitters out without giving up a hit. That's impressive no matter what happens in between.

But ones like AJ Burnett with 9 walks? I mean, come on? He walked everyone that could've gotten a hit.

And he did it against three so-so to lousy hitters, with just a 3-run lead.

Still he has done this all year. He also hasn't allowed an earned run.
