I do like the one trade O'Dowd finally made with Ian Stewart going to the Cubs in return for Tyler Colvin (not counting the other parts).

Colvin batting .283, 5 HR, 15 RBI, .819 OPS, in limited ABs. Needs to work on the strikeouts though

Carlos Gonzalez is so low on the All-Star voting list yet he's one of the top performers this year so far.

Because the voting method is SNAFU'd. And yet.... this determines home field advantage for the World Series. Beaut.

Well, they worked on some changes with Schwimmer comin out of the Phils BP yesterday and he has 4 K's in 2 inns. of work today. Lookin' good.

Colorado pitching, all I can do anymore is

Collectively, opposing offenses hold a .295 average. A steamy hot 5.24 ERA along with a 1.58 WHIP for the pitching staff as well.

Andre Ethier grand slam tops off a 6 run 2nd for LA! And man did he crush that hanging changeup.

Matt Wieters walk off double. Orioles win series with Philly by taking two more extra inning games.

Bryce Harper runs like a chicken with it's head cut off. And I'm pretty sure he was yelling at himself the whole time he was running

Cliff Lee blows another lead and Ty Wigginton cost the Phillies the game with a brutal error in the 10th inning.

The love affair with Cliff Lee in this city is close to dead.

Phillies 8 games back in the division now. I still have faith in my Phillies. If they end up being sellers, then they end up being sellers. Trade some pieces, get some talent, and rebuild for next year.

Well remember they are playing without Utley, and Howard. I'd hold off on the fire-sale talk until they get back in the lineup, if they do. Regardless though the pitching has underachieved, and no one would have expected that coming into the year. That both Lee, and Halladay would struggle like they have.

Just curious which pieces would you trade, if they were to go into re-building mode?

It's a shame these Phillies can't get a win for Cliff Lee. It's either they can't get run support for him or the bullpen falters in the later innings.

He did it to himself this time. I think he needs to abandon that cutter.

Bad call for the Rockies, transfer from glove to hand on a line drive by Cargo called safe....allows a double play instead

Yea...can't just look at a boxscore and think you know the story of the game.

Cliff Lee had a 4-1 lead and gave up a 3r HR to a AAA call-up Steve Tolleson. This is like the 3rd or 4th of his 10 starts where he had a lead and squandered it.

I for one am pissed at Lee...

                                What about Chooch today though?!?!

This dude got to the plate in THREE STRAIGHT innings with the bases loaded (how many times has that ever happened in a baseballe game), and did nothing. Then in his 4th AB with 0 on and 2 outs in the 7th he finally gets a single. Go freakin figure. If Ruiz had got at least ONE hit with the bases loaded in those THREE STRAIGHT chances this may be a win and not another extra innings loss.

Only thing I liked about this game was that I was there, my 4 yr old son and I took in our first Major Leage Ballgame, my parents came up on a bus trip too, and it was a hot but beautiful day. Oh and my Boog's BBQ sandwhich was great too...

Thought this was interesting...I left the game at the top of the 8th, and listened to the rest on the radio. The O's announcer Joe Angel said that when Joe Savery entered in the 10th, that every appearance he's made for the Phillies had ended in a loss. And what did he do...
