Re: 6/11 - 6/17 Game Discussion Thread
Angels win again in Dodgers stadium to take 2 out of 3 from the Dodger and remain just 3 1/2 games back of Texas.
Angels are now 52-37 vs. the Dodgers in interleague play and and 11-4 vs. the Dodgers in the last 3 seasons.
Got the Dbacks at home next. I just can't get a handle on Arizona.Comment

Chris Davis hit a broken bat home run against Pittsburgh tonight...one of the more impressive things I've seen. Guy is insanely strong.Comment

Good matchup Friday night, Clayton Kershaw vs Chris Sale. A chance to look at 2 of the best young left handed pitchers in the game at Dodger Stadium.
Now, do you want to listen to Hawk or Vin? Decisions, decisions.

Congrats to Cain!
I saw the article on ESPN about how this might be the best pitching performance ever.
And it got me thinking about all the amazing pitching performances, and I gotta say Kerry Wood's dominance of a very good Astros team has to be #1. I mean, Biggio is already a lock for the HOF, IMO Bagwell should be, plus you got good players in Derek Bell and Moises Alou.
20 K's against that lineup, giving up 1 hit and 1 HBP.7 National Championships
43 Conference Championships
152 All-Americans
5 Heisman Trophy Winners
#1 in weeks ranked #1 in AP Poll
#1 in weeks ranked top 5 in AP Poll
#1 in wins/winning percentage since 1946

I started watching the SF game (after seeing a game there last yr I just love watching their broadcasts), but popped in MLB2K after the 2nd inning and never looked back....
Didn't realize Cain threw a perfect game until 7 this morning.Last edited by JBH3; 06-14-2012, 11:38 AM.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Damn, I was supposed to be back home around midnight but didn't get back til later. I wish I had now, that was an amazing performance by Cain.
I was surprised the Tigers won last night after they got down early against the Cubs. I know they suck, but after the Tigers got down early I thought for sure it was over. Hopefully Verlander can keep it going today, they need to start winning games consistently.Comment
