Well for one, Hendry IS that stupid. On the Off-season Cubs special the other day, Hendry said he will "get some bullpen help this month, then let the position free agent process take a lot longer"... so in other words he's going to let Castillo, Tejada, and Pudge agree to contracts elsewhere before he decides to sign Wil Cordero and Fernando Vina..

The only way the Cubs could afford Arod would be to ship Sammy Sosa out, which they are not going to do, c'mon this is the Cubs, after finishing one game away from the World Series they are already saying they might try to trade Kerry Wood to keep payroll down,
don't look for Arod at Wrigley any time soon.

I don't think you're allowed to trade $10 million in cash. I think the maximum amount of cash you can send is $1 million.
