It's very pleasing for the Yankees to end the series against the White Sox with a banana split.

The final roster spot vote candidates for the NL are a joke...
Chipper Jones is kinda meh with me, I get the nostalgia feel, just don't know if he is worthy, then again Ripken wasn't exactly worthy for some of those All Star game appearances.
Bryce Harper though? You gotta be kidding me with that one...
Bourn I'm kinda meh on a lot, he's having a decent season, but there has to be a better option somewhere

Hill is a solid choice to be up there, Freese is too due to his position really.

I'm also freakin shocked Lahair made it. Thats the biggest one to me, I'm shaking my head in disbelief at that. I guess one great month overlooks 2 ****ty ones.
But going back, sooooo many other players deserve to be on that ballot other than Harper. Soooo many.

I'm hoping Aaron Hill gets the final vote along with Frieri or Darvish.

Tell me which other NL 1B would you pick over him? NL is very weak in that area.

Oh I don't know, how about Goldschmidt? The guy having a better year than him now.

Heck, I think Freeman and Laroche deserve to go more than Lahair.

                You mean this Freeman?

The 1B position in the NL this year has been rather flat. Goldschmidt should of at least gotten some consideration.

I was just looking over the rosters and saw Wade Miley was the Zona representative...BS. Aaron Hill deserves an All-Star spot.

I'd imagine we are almost guaranteed to have more splash downs in this home run derby than we had in San Francisco.

Just based off the NL squad alone the HR derby should be better then it has recently imo

I'm a bit surprised to see Encarnacion not make the AL team.

Wondering about Beltran's ability to stay in it late, but I like Stanton and CarGo's odds tremendously.

I wish they'd go "Big League Challenge" format; perhaps it would shorten the length of the thing. That, or limit the hitters to a maximum of three pitches per swing. Since it's their own elective behind the L-screen, you just have to select somebody who you can trust will throw you the pitches you like.

I'm still not understanding the Thome deal, while the Orioles continue to watch their starting pitching go belly up. No way to compete in the AL East if you cant pitch.

I don't like it either. It could mess up his swing for a little bit.
