This is an interesting situation. The reason why is: Why would Fredi come out and say he would be benching Uggla going forward for the season and Prado will be starting @2B. Uggs has been back in the lineup for the last three days. We are at 79 wins, top 5 records in the bigs, so I am happy. Fredi should've not made that statement & just benched him for 5 days to get his head together..

The problem is his quotes after the game.

On his big night, a double and homer

“I’m back. Just because I hit the ball hard, if I have a bad night and go 0-for-4, it’s not about feeling for it anymore, it’s not about searching for it. It’s here. This is me. And like I said, I’m going to battle and compete the way I know how to.”

          On his recent performance

“The last month or whatever, I haven’t been on fire or anything, but I knew it was right around the corner. And you know what? I just said screw it. There’s no more searching. This ain’t searching time. This is September. This is go out and lay it on the field, and put together and compete to the best of your ability. And that’s what I’m going to do.”
Uggla hasn't changed anything with his swing or approach at the plate. He basically said everything is fine. I swing hard and that is all that matters. If I hit a HR, it makes up for the 0-30. He needs to go to right field and just try to put the ball in play. If he does that, the HRs will still be there, but he also will have a lot higher average.

Maybe I was wrong, maybe he is actually fixed.

Uggla is 2-2, 3R, 1BB so far today
