Dissin' the Brew-crew.. .. you've gone too far AI.

Jeter is damn special (unless it's a Marlin/D'Back/or Angel on the mound, but I digress...), but it makes you wonder how many other 'special' players there are who never get a shot at October baseball. At this point Jeter is lucky to be in the company he is to get him to the post-season because he just isn't cutting it the rest of the season. And that should count against him. And does.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

He doesn't cut it in the regular season? Explain to me that part. As far as I'm concerned, Jeter is the second SS, behind the best player in the MLB today.

Re: The only reason ARod won......

Even your lord and savior Steinbrenner has criticized Jeter's work in the regular season. Since 1999 Jeter has consistently had a lower and lower OPS until this season when he failed to stay healthy enough to break 500 at-bats... that's not good. Like I said, if not for the bludgeon of talent on the Yanks, Jeter would not be given the chances to shine that he's given.

Hey, why stop at 6 straight World Series titles, if only those 18 other multi-millionaire teammates of Jeter performed up to snuff I'd say he'd have 8 straight world series titles.

And by this time next year I guaran-friggin-tee he'll be the second best SS in New York, but I'm sure they'll be several of you guys with Reyes avatars by then anyway...

That's it? That's not cutting it in the regular season? Try again.

Baseball voting is so unbelievably biased toward teams from the northeast, it's sickening. Now that ARod might be a Yankee or a Red Sock, now he's deemed worthy of the award.

I want to expand on this a little bit more.. The only rumors I have heard was during the trading deadline, without the mentionings of any team(s), but even that was shot down. Which rumors are you talking about?
Are you talking about the recent rumors that started in the offseason about the 3 way trade between Cali/Boston/Rangers? Be specific if you can.

What part of 4 consecutive down seasons fails to penetrate? Why am I bothering? Jeter is the second best SS in baseball and Jason Giambi is versatile because he can DH. Outstanding.
