Unfortunately, baseball doesn't really work like that.
The Astros always seem to like to play the role of spoiler against the really good teams.

The Angels are obviously loaded on offense and they have great starting pitching on paper...but do they have one of the worst bull pens in MLB?

Statistically their BP has been near the top since the Frieri acquisition. Obviously Scott Downs getting hurt was big.

I attribute a lot of the issue in this series to that ballpark, I've never seen so many balls that weren't even hit on the sweet spot end up in the second tier without being in Yankee Stadium. . Neither pitching staff looked great this weekend. Other than Jered Weaver, it looked like every pitcher from both teams was facing the '27 Yankees.

One nice thing to see about this season is Chipper Jones performing well in his final season. While I was too young to really follow his first half of his career, it was great to be able to watch him during the 2000's (especially when Braves were on TBS). Hopefully he has a nice send-off.

                      Vintage Pujols this week.

In his last 5 games he is 11/23 with 5 HR and 11 RBI.

Dan Straily looks impressive so far. His fastball sits around 92 but really explodes at the end, along with a filthy splitter.

Mike Trout hits home run #19 tonight. I honestly did not expect this kind of power from him this soon. It's biased, but he looks to be as good of a young 20 year old player as I've ever seen. True 5 tool player.

So, apparently fans from the Leeds "foot"ball team are pissed that some Twins fans stole their team song and are out spamming my Twins forum of choice.

                            *sigh*

                              What song?

Haha, Leeds. They were good once until they became bankrupt and couldn't afford their players anymore. Nothing says fail like having points in the standings deducted because you can't make payroll.

This whole thing is just stupid, no Twins fans even know this thing exists.
