What divination is this that the Braves win on a Monday? First win on a Monday in almost ONE YEAR. Like the way they are swinging the sticks...

I really don't like the Angels, but Mike Trout is ridiculously good. We are really seeing something special with him.

Phillies laying the beat down on Strasburg tonight! Jimmy Rollins with a 2-run inside the park home run to give the Phillies a 6-0 lead.

Since when did Stephen Strasburg hit a homerun?

Well...I just hope Domonic Brown playing everyday turns into a <strike through><strikethrough>good</strike through> </strikethrough>great thing.

                Angels up 4-0 on Texas.

Pujols has 2 bombs so far. Trout hit #18. Weaver tossing a 1 hitter.

Still a lot of baseball to go in this one.

                Derek Holland is terrible.

Meh...this game is meaningless. Remember that the Rangers won the division back in April.

That's what Ranger fans kept telling us.

Hell one of them said after the Angels got Grienke that it gave the Angels a chance to make the postseason, as if the division was all sewn up.

Well this game has been different. Yankees with a 5 run 1st inning, Orioles respond with 7 runs in the 2nd and 11 unanswered overall. Tillman pretty much cruised through innings 2-5.

If this report about the Royals is true, then, just wow. It's no coincidence this team hasn't been a winner since the '80s.

I assume you're referencing my post in the Trade Deadline thread, and here's what I actually said.

According to TR Sullivan (Rangers beat writer), the Rangers and Brewers talked Greinke. The Brewers wanted Mike Olt, and apparently the Rangers weren't willing to do that. I'm pretty happy that the Rangers didn't do that. There's no reason to give up Mike Olt for a 3 month rental.
All I said was that it increases the Angels chances of making the postseason. The Angels aren't guaranteed to make the playoffs. Neither are the Rangers. There's still tons of baseball to be played, but it looks like the Angels are very hot right now, and the Rangers bats are getting cold at the wrong time.

Hasn't really been mentioned here, but A.J. Burnett has a no-hitter through seven innings, going into the bottom of the eighth now. Thank goodness I randomly picked to watch WGN when I didn't want to know the results of the Olympic girls gymnastics.

Josh Rutledge has been impressive, hopefully he's the answer for us at 2nd. A position (along with 3rd) that Rox never seem to find.
