Someone had previously said that the best the Phillies could do is get back to .500, and now...they are 3 games out of the Wildcard.

Plus, the Phillies have the Astros this weekend and could catch serious ground as the Dodgers and Cardinals play one another.

And JJLinn, Gonzalez gave up 2 runs in 6 innings, that is not "horrible."

Someone had previously said that the best the Phillies could do is get back to .500, and now...they are 3 games out of the Wildcard.

And?

There were also about a dozen or so posters in the preseason predictions thread in the pro football forum that said the Eagles wouldn't make the playoffs last year and you had an e-conniption fit. We all know how that one ended up.

On topic, the Phillies have ridiculously underachieved this year and have no business in the postseason.

He was horrible at the time of me posting that, Bro Namath. He was getting tagged in the first 3 innings and got bailed out by two double plays, one of which was a line drive that was luckily hit right at Hardy.

I'm not gonna say anything until it's settled. I've learned not to talk about your team one way or another the hard way.

But your statement is ridiculous based on the fact that a team is without 3 of their biggest pieces for a significant part of the year while their 4th piece had received very little run support.

They have business being in the post-season if they make the post-season.

"sigh" Ricky Romero couldn't even make it past the 5th inning though I think John Farrell had a bit of a quick hook.

Regarding the Phils, I have a feeling they'll expend so much energy getting tot he playoffs (if they make it) that they'll burn out and slump leading to a 1 and done.

Brewer pitchers held the Braves to 3 runs in three games and 19 of the 20 hits were singles.
