Just sign Javy. He'll take 3 years/24 million. The Braves certainly don't have any money to sign anyone. Crud, they can't even offer Maddux or Sheffield arbitration. Do I sound bitter? It might be because I am. Stupid AOL.

Who's acting like it was unexpected? If you're talking about me, then you're wrong. The guy didn't clearly state that he wasn't offered arbo so I thought he already signed with another team.

As a Marlin fan, I don't even want Pudge back because of his selfish attitude. We don't need guys like this on the team. Dont get me wrong, he was one of our top players and a huge loss as far as talent goes, but I completely lost respect for him. I personally will not be rooting for him wherever he goes ot play. He blamed the Marlins for not offering money they dont have to him, saying that this is the first time ever a player who led his team to the world series didnt get a raise (like he needs one). On the other hand, I am a huge derrek lee fan. He is a class act and I wish him the best of luck on the Cubbies. Also, Castro is a very solid player and should be able to fill in for pudge very nicely. With the Braves, Expos, and Mets pretty much out of the playoff picture, I have a good feeling that the fish can top the Phils and win the NL east in '04. Should be fun a fun season (too bad they raised ticket prices because we had some of if not the lowest in the league).

                        Go fish!

                              How is he selfish.

He anchored the team, won the postseason MVP, and led them to the World Series title.

And he DIDN'T ASK FOR A RAISE.

He asked for exactly the same money he made last year.

The Marlins wanted him to take a HUGE pay cut.
