    GRIFFEY JR....

is he the poster boy for disappointment? he & Penny Hardaway are probably sports biggest let downs. i be if he doesn't do well this year he'll retire...
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

I don't think I agree with you on that one. Playing like crap is one thing, but when injuries limit what you can do, that's another thing. I wouldn't be surprised if Grif puts up great numbers if he can stay healthy. He was off to a good start last year before he got injured.

You forgot other injury plagued players, like Grant Hill. Maybe he's the biggest disappointment for the Reds, but not for the M's. He had some great years in Seattle. Right now I'm sure alot of M's fans are pulling for him, because regardless of him leaving Seattle, he gave us alot of good years, and seeing him like this is unpleasant to say the least. He still has it in him to produce, but if he can't stay healthy he might end up a DH, and if he can't even DH he'll be one sad ombre. All I know is, even if it was just for a radio host for the M's, I'd welcome him back to Seattle with open arms. He's got tons of talent in him, and he's run into the worst of luck in the past few years. I only hope he'll be okay. Not to jinx anybody, but just imagine if Arod fell into something like this, it wouldn't just be "sports biggest disappointment" as you put it, it would be an all-out tragedy. Griffey is and was an all star calibur player, and his bad luck is just as much of a tragedy. It's not just "a big disappointment". This guy used to be the "poster boy" of greatness. Now he's the meaning of Tragedy.

Keep in mind that before he had the injury problems he was a favorite to break Aaron's home run record. In fact, some people weren't asking if he'd break it but how quickly. I might have the wrong numbers but he is the youngest player ever to get to 400 HR, but A-Rod will probably break that record (knock on wood). When he became the youngest to 400, I think it was by 250 or so days quicker than Jimmie Foxx.

I'll welcome his dissapointment to Yankee Stadium. Please, come to us Griffey.
