    Vlad

Vlad certainly got screwed this year. The O's have a hold on the market with their 5/65 offer. It appears that no one else can match it, so Vlad has nothing to counter offer with or use to increase the O's offer. $13 million a year for Vlad would be a steal. Giddy up!

BoSox can have their Arod for 25 million, I'll take vlad and Miggy for that price.
It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic.

What's the old saying... "don't count your chickens before they're hatched." I completely agree that Vlad would be a steal, but my heart continues to pound with nervousness until we actually get his signature on the dotted line.

Oddly enough, MTL offered Vlad more than the O's current offer to stay. I'm thinking Vlad can't be too happy right now.

I guess you can't call Vlad a selfish "mo' money" guy now

Vlad got some really bad advice from his agents and now he's going to pay the price for listening to them. His agent should've known that the FA market is very soft except for NYY and Boston. There's only so much money left to throw around.

The GMs and owners are being smarter with their money and actually making decisions based on cost/reward which I admire greatly.

Yup, kinda sad. I just hope the fish can come up with some kind of money to get this guy, especially at this price. I know it's a long shot for them, but you never know. If he had a choice to go to either Miami or Baltimore, he would pick Florida 100%.
