Now that the none tendered list is out there seems to be a few people who the Bucs could make a run at. If the Pirates need a cheap third-basemen Russel Branyon could be an option. Powerful left hander could do decent at third if signed for a year. Or maybe Damion Moss as a option for a fifth starter, rumors are he wants to go to a small market team. Also maybe the Pirates could get Sauerbeck back, not likely but possible. Well this is what the Pirates have been waiting for so they should act and get some cheap players to fill in.

The Buccos signed 3B Chris Stynes today. In my opinion, a poor acquistion. He had trouble offensively in Colorado, hope he can get something done in the Burgh.Comment

Not really.
Jose Batista was a decent minor leaguer but he was taken in the raiding, also known as the Rule 5 draft. The only other Pirates 3b prospect was Kody Kirkland, but he was traded to the Tigers for Randall Simon, and at last I heard he was tearing up the minor leagues.Comment
