No offense but the things in bold either are not true or haven't been confirmed. You were close with the commentary, but Karl Ravech isn't color commentator, he's like how Chris Berman does it on ESPN Football or how Kevin Frazier does it on ESPN Basketball... Rex Hudler is still (unfortunately) color commentator.

None of the others have neither been announced nor confirmed... we can expect a Crib-type mode, and some other game mode (possibly and hopefully FPM), but those have never been actually announced.

I'm not positive on momentum meter... please explain what you mean.

      -Clubhouse (think Cribs)
      -Momentum meter
      -Deeper franchise

I just hope 1 of the games is REALLY good... it seems every year I end up disapointed with every sports game I buy. Eventually I hope they can just iron out all the little bugs that compound and detract from the game.

Re: Rank your 2005 Console Baseball Games (based on what you\'ve seen)

It's January 18th, about 3 weeks after I made this original post. My initial judgement of the games has changed.

                        My old ranking was: 1 - All Star Baseball 2005, 2 - ESPN Baseball, 3 - MLB 2005, 4 - MVP Baseball 2004, 5 - Microsoft's Game.

                        My new rankings are:

#1 - All Star Baseball 2005 - ASB2005 still seems to have the best blend of solid gameplay and extra off-the-field features out of all the games. Last year's version had really good off-the-field features but gameplay left something to be desired and the franchise mode was somewhat incomplete. The potential for a great game is there and I have a feeling the 2005 version will be off the hook!

#2 - MVP Baseball 2004 - The slew of new features, all the media coverage so far, etc. has definitely raised my interest in the game. However, many people are overlooking the fact that EA hasn't really been praising their gameplay as much as their new off-the-field features. However, I'll reserve my final judgement on this game (and all the other games) when they all ship.

#3 - MLB 2005 - Although I don't have a Playstation 2, this game might convince me to buy one. I have a feeling 989's game will be the underdog sleeper of this year simply because thier offering from previous years has been mediocre at best. Previews for this year's game are stunning to say the least.

#4 - ESPN Baseball - Sorry FatPitcher but as of this moment, there has not been enough information released from the ESPN camp in order to even consider pre-ordering the new version. Since the videos and screenshots released are from a VERY EARLY build, I'm hoping the final product will be dramatically different because the early build plays too much like WSB2k3 (which, in my opinion, was a solid game but had many shortcomings that appear in the early build for ESPN). Hopefully your statements about "NEW INNOVATIONS" will come true to life.

#5 - Microsoft Inside Pitch - Maybe next year.
