    Re: MLB Off-Topic 2013

I'm trying to make video for 2013 Jays team.

    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/zv45UDlmMnE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Is the video from 2012. It got almost 25,000 views. So I'm trying to make one for 2013 now, but I'm undecided on a song to use.

The song I'm leaning towards using:
    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/eu-xFvLaE68" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    Was also thinking about:
    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/qag6w_Tp50A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

But don't think that'd fit with a video similar to the one I made in 2012.

    But am open to suggestions.

You should have given him the biggest Bart Simpson's "Eat My Shorts" look in the world and then went on your way.

Was reading up about Delmon Young's 1 yr deal w/ the Phillies. Base salary is $750K, but the deal is incentive-laden.... there's one incentive that pays Young $100K for every weigh session that he makes the target weight for.

He has 6 such sessions, must be nice to make a cool $600K for just weighing in.

Pirates will be changing their logo in 2014. Guessing they're hoping for some new luck with the logo or something.

This was really the only logo in their history that I actually thought looked good.

                Maybe something like:

lol, or Stargell or Clemente in black and white pirate form.

Seems like a play on the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, outside of Los Angeles in Orange County, SoCal, California, a member of the united States, Northern and Western Hemisphere, Earth, Inner Rings, Solar System, Milky Way Galaxy within the known current universe

Yeah that shirt is mocking the Angels. Saying sort of "at least we're actually in LA, not just claiming to be".

Really sick of the Nike shirts that are in that style. So annoying.

So over the weekend in a fit of insomnia I happened to read a couple blogs that threw out speculation based on the fact that there's been little to no movement on re-upping Tim McCarver past this year (his contract expires at the end of the year) and one blogger contacted some network muckety mucks to see who FOX may replace McCarver. The names are as follows:

                          Ron Darling (UGH!)
John Smoltz (don't think he'd mesh too well with Buck)
Terry Francona (Um, he's kinda busy but it does show that ESPN and FOX were very impressed by his broadcasting work)
Bob Brenly (the most likely choice, he knows the culture at FOX and has worked with Buck before)
Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

If McCarver goes, something tells me that Buck isn't far behind him. Buck has made it clear that he loves football and that he does Baseball for the paycheck. It would be a Godsend if they could get both of those clowns out of the booth.

Random article so I figured I'd put it in here:

A look at the greatest three-year defensive contributions at each position in the live ball era.

I had no idea Albert was such an elite fielding first baseman. Like I knew he was really good, but had no idea having not seen many Cardinals games over the last few years.

Bobby V thinks he did a "good" job in Boston.

and I thought I did a (good) job in Boston. I thought what had to be done there, had to be done except for winning a pennant. But Connie Mack wouldn't have won with that team.
