I see that MLB.com still has not figured out how to put the highlights in temporal order. Sheesh. Someone get them a number order line from a school supply catalog.

It's gonna be hard for the Marlins to send Yelich down to AA with how well he's doing right now, but hopefully they call him up in June as his swing is really smooth and could already be MLB ready.

That triple that Wil Myers crushed today was a thing of beauty. Line drive off the very top of the wall to DEAD center at the 414 sign. Would have been a homer in the vast majority of parks. Watching this kid rake is going to be awesome for years to come.

Martin Perez was the favorite for the 5 spot in the Rangers rotation before today. He was hit in the wrist by a comebacker. It doesn't sound good at all.

Frenchy is in regular season form.

Jeff Francoeur : Strike swinging, Strike swinging, Francoeur struck out swinging.
Jeff Francoeur : Strike looking, Strike looking, Francoeur struck out looking.
Jeff Francoeur : Francoeur flied out to right.

Mariners announcers were saying it was an absolute laser... definitely not a good sign for Perez.

              follow up:

              Perez has a broken arm - http://sports.yahoo.com/news/morales...4054--mlb.html

              Tough break...

I'm not too worried about this. It's a shame that he's going to miss Opening Day, but the Rangers have plenty of options right now. They've got guys like Grimm, Buckel, and Ross that could all fill in for 2 months.

Mike Trout went 3-3 today with a double, two runs scored, and a stolen base.

He's gonna be a monster this season.

Man...did Hamels get rocked by the DR team today! I'm going to tell myself that he was trying to experiment with some pitches and placement. Ya.... that's what I'm telling myself. Man...do I feel better.

Mexico defeats the Dbacks 1-0. Honestly surprised the Dbacks didn't rally and win it. Team USA also tied 4-4 against the White Sox.

With Teixeria outta the WBC, Konerko is an option.

EDIT: Here's a funny double play the Dbacks turned against Mexico.

I'm watching the Reds/Angels game from yesterday. I have determined that Texas fans are robots. Behind home plate sat a guy. He was wearing a Rangers cap and Rangers hoodie. He had sunglasses on, in the shade of course. Every time he showed up on camera (which was quite often), he barely moved from shot-to-shot, never saw him talk to anyone, nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, the Rangers have robot scouts.

Spoke too soon! In the 9th he looked human.

                            Looks like it's on already!!

"Halladay, apparently getting ornery in his old age, threw behind Tyler Moore today in obvious retaliation for Stephen Strasburg hitting Chase Utley the previous inning."

Raffy's going to need Tommy John now. Didn't see that coming.

No. He is going to start the year out in AAA for obvious reasons. It's not that he isn't ready yet (he is) but they want that extra year of control. That's how the Rays work.

Zobrist will start the year off in RF while Kelly Johnson mans 2B and Yunel Escobar plays SS.

If either of the middle infielders struggle (especially Johnson) Myers will be brought up and put in RF and Zobrist will be moved to 2B/SS again.
