Busch probabily did this so he could pickup a few more votes. There's alot more important things going on in the world that he could be talking about.
Kudos to Pres. Bush for calling out MLB and it's steroid policy......

Agreed. The man is a Hypocrite. He claims to go into acountry to stop a man from killing, all the while killing his way to get there. Then, quite conspicuously, after being voted in by oil companies, he siezes the Oil found in Iraq. Oh yes, what a great trustworthy president we have.Comment

Junior was obviously referring to baseball when he brought the issue up. It has everything to do with the game and this forum.Comment

This thread went way beyond the steroids issue. If controversial politcal threads are being closed in the Everything Else forum, I wouldn't expect them to remain open in the Pro Baseball forum. That's just me, though.Comment

I personally don't agree with dragging the extraneous Bush politics into the issue, but I think blotting out the entire discussion because of the threat of it is pretty vapid...
...either way, getting back to the point. I was and still am pretty unclear as to what Bush was getting at or what his motives were for bringing up the steroids issue. It almost felt as if he needed an extra minute or two for his speech to reach the speech length he needed. It sound pretty out of place to me, though it was amusing to hear the league reps dance around the issue this morning.Comment
