Here's hoping the pitching can be a little more stable tomorrow though Gibby was a bit hamstrung with the way the bullpen was used up prior to this game.
We can't judge an entire season on the first 4-5 games. If so, theTigers will be very mediocre this year, and the Angels will suck.

Not sure if I made any proclamation one way or another. I do think that this team will at least be interesting to watch. It's going to take a couple weeks before they round into form and figure out who they are as they seem to be a bit overly aggressive at times.

Oops, read the post wrong. Yea, you guys have a good team, but this is where our argument on morale comes into play. We all know that the Marlins 5 will get along together, R.A is a "get along with" kinda guy, I don't know about Melky. And Bautista, Encarnacion, and Lawrie will have to try to get along with those pieces to make the puzzle (which I hopes doesn't come together).

Ya. Games are crazy/exciting, but will be the fun find of exciting when we win these ones. That Jose Reyes trick play at 3B was craziest thing ever(almost as crazy as those times Jays had guys steal home on non wild pitches), would have been better if Jays ended up doing something with all that.

If they can at least hover around .500 mark in April, assuming no big injuries happen, we should see improvement as season goes on.

If Josh Hamilton is seriously surprised about being booed in Texas, then he is a dumber redneck than the fans that booed him are... and that's saying a lot.

                      Observations from the Ballpark:

                      1) The new concourse behind home plate looks really good and has some great food options. The flautas with the chips and queso are a great deal and there's a lot of good looking food options there.

                      2) This is what bugs me about people who complain about the scoreboards not having certain graphics in "MLB the Show." The Rangers (and I'm sure every team) changes them every year. They look sharper this year that's for sure.

                      3) Hamilton is going to suffer quite badly against the Rangers. The key to pitching him is to throw **** way out of the strikezone. He'll swing at damn near everything. Toward the end of the game, the fans out in right were chanting "Baseball Town;" better than "_________ sucks" on any day. Furthermore his defense looks to be a lot ****tier than what it was when he was here. He's going to improve and have a 30 HR season, but left handed hitters are going to have a field day against him.

                      4) Holland pitched a good game, and gave up his patented home run ball early without any runners on. Although we still have problems with runners on the bags, I think our offense will be just fine this year. The rotation looks amazing, and I think our bullpen will work itself out toward the middle of the season.

As long as Jays win the series, they'll be fine. Just been alot of TERRIBLE hitting with RISP.

lol, and Farrell got booed like crazy. Every time he even stepped out of the dugout, fans started booing him. But just like EVERY other former Toronto person, he wins in his return to Toronto.
I could have told you they'd suck with RISP, that's just what all Marlins player have done forever.

There are only 2 Marlins in the lineup.

Happ has done pretty good as a Blue Jay. The numbers may not reflect it though because he had some rough outings but he also had a couple starts where he was just incredible. If he can carry over his spring success and be even HALF as good then he should be fine. I mean, you don't expect your #5 starter to have front end of the rotation stuff. If he can give you 5-6 innings every time out i'll be happy.

As Doc said, there's only 2 Marlins in the lineup and really the whole RISP thing has been a Blue Jays problem off and (sadly) mostly on over the last few years. The philosophy of the hitters, their talent and whatnot makes them susceptible to being a binge hitting team rather than being very consistent. Hopefully with the lineup flexibility this season there should be an across the board improvement on consistency.

Ya, and they only had a combined 3 at bats with RISP(Jays have a total of 29 appearances with RISP).

If there's anyone to blame for Jays problem with RISP, it's Lind. He's the ONLY guy on the team who even had 3+ at bats with RISP and didn't get a hit(he's gone 0-5!)

Had he gotten at least 1 hit, Jays would be 2-2 right now.
