That's what I don't get. Ranger fans acted like they were glad he was gone after he signed with the Angels, yet their entire focus not only during this series, but this whole week has been on his performance. My twitter feed was nothing but talk about Hamilton being 0 for whatever from Ranger fans and media outlets, ignoring the fact the Rangers were playing great baseball and had some great individual performances. It's like they didn't care if their team was winning or losing but only cared that Hamilton was 0 for 4 that day. Makes no sense.
I understand there's an inferiority complex when it comes to that group, especially when it comes to the Angels, but I don't get why anymore. They've taken it to the Angels for the past 3 years, and have had two WS appearances to boot. The whole jilted girlfriend act, because he spoke the truth is stupid.
I also don't get the attitude those fans have that they and the Rangers gave him so much and he did nothing for them. He carried that offense for the better part of 3 years, and they don't sniff a world series if he's not on that team during that time frame.
Heaven forbid someone say something that is glowing about a Dallas area sports team. It makes it easy to remember that these are the same people who are Cowboy fans, and have the exact same attitude during the fall. Although in the Rangers case, at least they are a threat to do some damage in the post season.
