That's what I don't get. Ranger fans acted like they were glad he was gone after he signed with the Angels, yet their entire focus not only during this series, but this whole week has been on his performance. My twitter feed was nothing but talk about Hamilton being 0 for whatever from Ranger fans and media outlets, ignoring the fact the Rangers were playing great baseball and had some great individual performances. It's like they didn't care if their team was winning or losing but only cared that Hamilton was 0 for 4 that day. Makes no sense.

I understand there's an inferiority complex when it comes to that group, especially when it comes to the Angels, but I don't get why anymore. They've taken it to the Angels for the past 3 years, and have had two WS appearances to boot. The whole jilted girlfriend act, because he spoke the truth is stupid.

I also don't get the attitude those fans have that they and the Rangers gave him so much and he did nothing for them. He carried that offense for the better part of 3 years, and they don't sniff a world series if he's not on that team during that time frame.

Heaven forbid someone say something that is glowing about a Dallas area sports team. It makes it easy to remember that these are the same people who are Cowboy fans, and have the exact same attitude during the fall. Although in the Rangers case, at least they are a threat to do some damage in the post season.

Yeah the jet stream out to RF reminded me of the one that is in Yankee stadium, tonight. Credit to the Rangers they took advantage of it and the Angels did not.

Rangers were the better team this weekend, and they deserved the two wins. Hopefully the Angels can get the ball rolling at home this week.

Michael Young and Napoli will be cheered when they return to Texas. Young will get a standing ovation.

Of course, neither of those players quit on the team at the end of last season, and neither of those players (or their wives) felt the need to publicly trash the organization and the city when they left.

Personally, I wouldn't boo Hamilton, but I can understand why people did. Also, I would have found a way to resign him, but I can understand why the Rangers didn't.

Anyway, nice start to the season for the Rangers. The pitching has been good so far, except for Harrison, and Texas hasn't commited an error in a while. People talk about their offense, but the Rangers are probably one of the most underrated defensive teams in baseball.

It's very likely that the Hamilton's exaggerated that to garner sympathy from folks like yourself.

          1. I doubt 99 percent of fans know what Hamilton's wife looks like.

          2. No one was ejected

          3. The Hamiltons like attention.

I don't get the love for Hamilton. I guarantee you that if you switched the name "Hamilton" with "Jeter" and "Rangers" with "Yankees" it would be a full on hate fest for Derek. Hamilton went out of the way to insult everybody when he called people who booed him "bandwagon fans" and then states that people that "get it" would cheer for him even though he knew full well that he was signing with a team that is absolutely hated. He exacerbated it comparing himself to Jesus Christ, and then going out of his way with the whole Baseball town comment (which in his opinion, no city in North America is a "Baseball town").

The best part is that the Angels are now stuck with him. There are going to be flashes of greatness for him no doubt about it. He's going to have a couple of months where he is the king of the game and he's going to rake. For the three to four other months though it's painful to watch. He'll swing at everything; like a fat kid in a candy store he just won't be able to lay off. He's going to let balls drop and play sub-par defense, so tell Trout to double time it every game. The worst part will be when he falls off the wagon again. All that drinking, all the sex, no babysitter to watch him. Either that or God will be punishing him again. And forget about a 120+ game season from him, he folds faster than an over-caffeinated origami artist.

I'm really interested to see how the God thing works in Disneyworld. It got really tiresome here...
