Pretty sure west coast teams on east coast trips suck as well. Games would start 4 pm local. Most are still at work. Move to central or mountain time (though 5 pm starts were pushing it). It's heaven.

Good god, Jesus Montero hit a triple. I don't know how to comprehend the fact that this happened.

My question is, how did Jones even run into the wall like that? It looked like he jumped into it like cartoon. He could have easily stopped.

Maybe he was trying to sell it so people would forget he missed catching a fly ball.

I contend that there's never been a slower pitcher than Juan Guzman was back in the day. I bet if he played today where teams drag out ABs and walk around the batters box area that games would regularly last 4+ hrs.

Everyone should have a pitch clock. It will never happen, but it should.

Snepp's point was there is already a time requirement in place. A pitcher has to deliver a pitch in 12 seconds with the bases empty or a ball is called. I've seen this called twice, both times on Rafael Betancourt. Problem is that no one enforces this rule.

Yep, he was the one I immediately thought of. Happened against the Tigers in 2007 I believe.

I have almost no confidence that Chris Tillman will be able to keep the Angels bats cold. Hamilton will probably have another 4 HR game against the O's. I dread when Tillman and Arrieta are on the bump.

Royals/Rays almost got 5 innings in, but throw out the stats because the game was postponed.

Will be interesting to see when they will try to fit this game in. No good options, really.

The Cards just had a 6-run inning on the Brewers.

It was one of those innings where nothing was truly hit hard but everything had eyes. A broken bat bloop RBI, some other well-placed softly hit balls. It was awesome to watch but tough to stomach as a Brewers fan.
