I stand corrected! You are correct though. If they sign Maddux (which I don't see happening, but then again, the ARod deal came out of left field), I can only imagine what your posts will be like....

For Maddux, it may not be all about the money, for Scott Boras on the other hand it is all about the money, something will give sooner or later, the season is almost here, and Maddux is too old to sit out an entire season if his agent does not get his way.

I would like to see him end up in Chicago.

Is all the hope for him landing in SD out of the picture? I always thought they were the front runners till they gave up and got Wells.

He's something for you, first there were reports in San Diego a long time ago that Maddux wanted to pitch closer to his homes in Dana Point and Las Vegas. That gave me reason to believe he was going to a team in the NL West. But now... he's talking with the Yankees.

Sounds like what Kevin Brown said to the Padres after 1998, something like he wanted to play closer to his home but signed with the Dodgers.

If this signing does get done it will almost be one of the greatest Yankee teams of all time. On paper that is. I personally have no problem with the Yankees signing all these big names. If their willing to overpay for people, then let them by all means. And sometimes I get sick of watching sports shows when all they can do is act like their talking for every baseball fan when they say "Everyone hates the Yankees!" And then they talk about all that Evil Empire stupid crap.

It's ridicuolus how some people are so jealous over the fact that Steinbrenner knows and will sign ANY players out there he wants. And I don't get how the Red Sox are supposed to be the good guys when they do the same thing the Yankees do, when they go out and sign alot of the big names. And not a single person can deny the Yankees trading for A-Rod is a bad thing. Because all of the sudden Texas has a much smaller payroll and could get back in the hunt in the West.
