Yea, they need to go ice cold early next week, but then you can have a decent team to watch again.Comment

Re: 6/17 - 6/23 Game Discussion Thread
Crazy to see that just 6 games separates 1st in AL East and last in AL East! The next closest from 1st to last is 9.5 games in AL Central and NL West.
Going on a losing streak will put you in last place in the division within a week!
Good to see Tigers win though, hopefully they can do so again tomorrow.Comment

Supposedly it has happened before in MLB history, but that seems like a rare occasion. I doubt entire division finishes over .500 considering how many divisional games are left to be played.Comment

The number of divisional games will not affect it as shown by the 2005 example; in 1991 you played everyone a similar number of times so you just had to be overall above .500. With a large number of divisional games, you just have to play around .500 in your division and be above .500 outside. Simple as that.Comment

My first full day on vacation in the US, and I've got tickets to the Marlins-Giants game at AT&T Park later.
Matt Cain vs Nathan Eovaldi - Could be a pitching duel.Comment

Today could be Kawasakis last game as a Blue Jay(at least for now)
Reyes back tomorrow, meaning he could be sent down. Though I hope McGowan is sent down(Jays don't need 8 guys in bullpen). Then we can hold off choosing who to send down from our fielders until Morrow or Lawrie is back(which won't happen for like a week or two)Comment

Re: 6/17 - 6/23 Game Discussion Thread
It is probably unlikely Kawasaki is going anywhere at the moment. Juan Perez is the one I'm figuring as most likely. Cecil already fills the long man role. And since they just brought McGowan up and he has no options, I doubt they'd risk the time put in to get him back. Seems more likely Kawasaki picks up playing time at 2B while Bonifacio with his Mendoza-line numbers goes to the bench. Lawrie is still several weeks away, and I personally think Morrow is post-all star break.Comment

Freddy Garcia already out of the game. Now for Johnson to just give us 6-7 good innings.
At 9-0, I think it is about certain we will tie our longest win streak in history. Past half way to the A's!Last edited by Redacted01; 06-23-2013, 01:18 PM.Comment
