Red Sox have 4 with Mariners, 3 with A's on the West Coast. King Felix tonight, Iwakuma tomorrow. Tough stretch.Red Sox|Patriots|Celtics|UConnTags: None -
Re: 7/8 - 7/14 Game Discussion Thread
Rays finally hit an easy part of the schedule to catch up. 4.5 games back, tied with the O's and the Yankees only another half game back.
Toronto is 10 games back, but still feels scarily close and in the mix.
And who says the AL East isn't still the best division in baseball? Put any team from the AL East in another division and they'd be in the top spot or close to it.Tampa Bay Rays
Jacksonville Jaguars
Orlando Magic
Tampa Bay Lightning

I would say the same thing about the top three teams in the NL Central in the AL East.NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)
NBA: Indiana Pacers (42-13)
MLB: Cincinnati Reds (0-0)
NHL: Detroit Red Wings (26-20-12)

Yeah, and it feels like the first time we've had an easy stretch all year.
After the All Star Break we have to play the Jays (not sure if RA Dickey is starting but he's had great success), the Red Sox, with Pedroia and Uehara foiling us seemingly every game and who have trashed us the whole season so far, and then the Yankees who we very stupidly split the series with after our bullpen performed the most epic collapse of the season on.
There's never an easy in-division matchup.Tampa Bay Rays

The Cardinals are the only NL Central team I would give a chance in the AL East. Pittsburgh's offense is atrocious. The Reds seem too back-and-forth. An eh April, a great May and a poor June. Just all over the map.Comment

Re: 7/8 - 7/14 Game Discussion Thread
The Rays have been all over the map. That's not a salient point.
On another note: why is it that every year that AL East fans beat their chests so much about their division? It's annoying on the level of the SEC in college football, except the AL East hasn't won a title (or even a pennant) since 2009.NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)

Re: 7/8 - 7/14 Game Discussion Thread
Jays in the NL would dominate lol. Cause our pitchers would do so much better in the NL. Dickey and Johnson for sure would be better, but I'm still surprised how Buehrle has struggled alot as well considering he's used to the AL for so long. I still wanna hear the full story on the Jays, because based on how this season has been going, there has to be some bigger story happening off the field that nobody knows about.Comment
