I don't get this whole "steroid era" stuff. Less than 5% of player used steroids, or were caught/admitted it. By those standards, when Babe Ruth played it should have been called the Cocaine and Hooker era!!!

I also don't like the fact that everybody wants * by names of players caught/suspected of it. Unless you can show me absolute proof that they did it when the records were set, I think the records still stand. And Braun's MVP should be left alone.

I thought the estimates were closer to 20-25%, which is a considerable amount.

Who knows for sure, Canseco said 85% were taken steroids, Caminiti said 50%. But those were all uneducated guesses, 5% is the supposed amount, so that is allegedly correct, although I believe it is a bit higher.

Moving the fence back would encourage steroids in a way because player would think that since they aren't using steroids, it's going to be harder.

I honestly don't think players are using steroids anymore. It's too easy to detect steroids in the system. Besides when was the last time someone hit over 60 homeruns? It's been a while. I think the game is cleaner now and guys are mostly using stuff to elevate testosterone and growth hormone to recover. Those kinds of things aren't really game changers in my opinion.

I would honestly rather see baseball/all sports do a join investigation into things like HGH and some of these other "drugs" out there which can speed up the healing process from injuries and determine how useful they can be.

Hear me out before everybody goes postal.

I'm not suggesting we allow players to juice. What I'm saying its it's evident that HGH can help guys recover from injuries. So say in baseball does an investigation and finds HGH is beneficial and enacts some sort of rule where team doctors are allowed to administer HGH (or something which is proven to be safe long term) to players who are on the 60+ day DL with the caviot that they be clean within 15 days of returning from injury. There clearly could be ways to abuse this, but at the same time, if we have a medical technology to help players heal and we're not using it, I see that as a missed opportunity as well.
              Golf: Bubba
              MLB: Braves
              Nascar: Smoke
              NBA: Heat
              NCAA: Florida & Miss State
NFL: Whichever team currently has the most of my favorite college players
              NHL: Caps
Tennis: The Joker & Sloane Stevens
              WWE: Dean Ambrose
Misc: Anybody wearing a Team USA jersey

I couldn't agree more, I'm very curious about HGH, Is it a miracle drug, or is it just another drug that will cause the body to break down later. However, I do not believe it's in a class with steroids.

There's not enough research on it, but essentially HGH is a hormone everyone has in their bodies. It's why most of us could eat like crap when we were kids and not gain a pound as we get older the body produces less of it. HGH helps reduce body fat. If you're wondering how Stallone was so ripped in his movies at his advanced age many suspect it's due to HGH. HGH also helps with recovery and adding muscle mass.

I was pretty sure Stallone took steroids. I remember Andy Pettite took HGH, and I believe him, when he said he took that to recover faster.
