        I think that the race might've tightened up but the hiccups that Wetteland had early to midway through the '94 season had cleared up by that point so the shakiness in the bullpen was rectified. Add in the fact that by the time the strike hit the Expos had found their setup guy in Mel Rojas. Even if the pitching faltered a bit the first 5 hitters in the Expos lineup that year were the most dangerous in the league. 1994 was supposed to be the first year of the Wild Card so who knows how the playoffs would've went. It did look like the Braves and Astros were fighting it out for the WC spot so perhaps the Braves would've made it to the playoffs anyways.

          I don't know, I think it was much more likely that an Expos-Indians WS was going to happen.

          That Indians lineup was just...bonkers.

              The AL West would've produced a division champion/playoff team with a losing record. The Rangers led the division at 52-62 when the strike started.
